Mixed Plastic Wastes as a Promise Path to Green Roads

Abstract In this study, asphalt binder was loaded with 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%wt of grinded mixed waste plastics. The plastic comprised mainly from a mixture PE/EPDM (60/40 wt.%), . To study the effect these wastes on performance; physical properties were studied including penetration, viscosity, softening point. mechanical characteristics modified using dynamic analyzer (DMA). Two types sweep tests conducted virgin to effects temperature frequency performance. Elastic recovery also investigated stress relaxation mode in DMA. addition, fatigue samples estimated obtained data loss modulus rutting factor (G*sinδ). It is observed that positively enhances performance binder.
